“You Made Me”

You made me.

You made me worry, hope, and stew.

You made me visit the doctor when I had stuff to do.

You made me work harder and longer at my job to provide for you.

You made me give up sleep, work, time, money, leisure, trips, opportunities, fun, and dates

You made me kinder, more gentle, more patient, a more loving mate.

You made me sensitive, more soft-spoken, much sweeter.

You made me a dad, a stronger family leader.

I “made” you, but more importantly,

You made me.
